TRANSGENDERISM LECTURE
On Monday, November 24th from 3:30 to 4:40 pm in Lecture Hall B, Stuy's Gay Lesbian and Straight Spectrum (GLASS) will host Ms. Kiwi Grady for a lecture on transgenderism and society. Come join us for this most interesting event. There will be a small reception afterwards on the first floor.

CULTURE FESTIVAL
Stuyvesant High School is hosting the second annual Culture Festival. Come celebrate the diverse cultures at Stuyvesant on Friday November 21st. This event consists of an international buffet in the cafeteria from 4:00-5:30pm and a cultural program in the Murray Kahn Theater from 6:00-8:30pm. SCHEDULING ZT10
Team members who wish to apply for ZT10 for the spring 2009 term should complete a ZT10 form. Forms are to be signed by the student, parent and coach. All applications are due by Thursday, December 4, 2008. Please click here to print out a ZT10 application.

ATTENTION BOY'S SWIMMING TEAM
The Boys' Swimming Team is having tryouts on Tuesday, November 11th at The Downtown Manhattan Youth Center located at 120 Warren St. (between Greenwich Ave & West Street) at 2:00 p.m. You need to have a completed medical form with a doctors stamp and a completed parental consent form. PLEASE BE PROMPT. Any questions, please contact Coach Bologna in the pool office or email him at pbologna@schools.nyc.gov.

BARUCH COLLEGE DAY
Interested Stuyvesant High School seniors may attend Baruch College's "College Day" on November 7th. Students will attend 2 classes taught by Baruch professors and a seminar on the admissions and financial aid process, will be given a tour, and will be treated to breakfast and lunch. Interested students must see Mrs. Parnes in the guidance suite as soon as possible.

MEDICAL ETHICS SYMPOSIUM
The Medical Ethics class presents the 23rd Annual Medical Ethics Symposium on Thursday, December 18th at 3:30 pm in the Murray Kahn Theatre. The topic will be "Mind, Body and Beyond - A Journey through Spiritual Healing." The keynote speaker will be Dr. Bernie Siegel, renowned surgeon and author of "Love, Medicine and Miracles," plus other distinguished panelists. Food and raffle prizes will be offered. All students, faculty and parents are invited. For further information, please email Ms. Bierig at bierigr@stuy.edu.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION GRANT AWARD PROGRAM
Thanks to the generosity of many alumni, the Stuyvesant High School Alumni Association offers a Grant Award Program for current Stuyvesant students with financial needs. Several students could be awarded from $500 to $2000 each this year. Students who meet the qualifications are encouraged to apply. Faculty and staff are welcome to sponsor deserving students. For more information about the Grant Award Program please come to the Alumni Office, Room 301B (between 10:00AM and 5:00PM) for application instructions.

Try-outs on Monday, November 3rd after 10th period in the Gymnastics Gym. No one will be allowed to try-out without a fully completed Medical form and a Parental Consent form.
